VisiLocate, a start-up team led by graduate students Sunghoon Rho, Nicholas Ross, and Ciara Dillon, and advised by Professor Thomas O’Sullivan, has an unprecedented day at the 2024 McCloskey New Venture Competition! Winning a historical 7 awards, they will receive a total of $127K in awards for the McCloskey Grand Prize, Best Presentation, Best Graduate Pitch Deck, Best Graduate Venture, Startup Showcase Runner Up, Best Female-Led Venture, and Startup Camp from Plug-n-Play. The technology presented is a breast tumor localization device that lights up during surgery to allow the surgeon to locate the tumor easier and faster.
